The Warhorse Challenge Association is a new and exciting concept for the equestrian interested in competing in a wide variety of historical-based events. Every horseperson will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of testing themselves and their horses in the types of events seen at Renaissance Faires or used throughout history to train warhorses and their riders.
Whatever your historical interest--from horse archery to spear hunting, from French Knights to nineteenth century British cavalry--the WCA hopes to create venues where you and your horse can put on war paint or armor and compete against like-minded equestrians.
We have two interrelated goals at the Warhorse Challenge Association: To establish a set of international standards for the conduct of historical warhorse challenges, and to offer both regional and national venues and awards for such competitions.
Look for us at The REQ Center in the near future for the very best in challenging historical horsemanship competition and entertainment!
